Local Innovation Takes Center Stage: Telewander Presents the EMMA Project in Rafelguaraf

RAFELGUARAF – May 8, 2026 — In a high-profile gathering focused on climate resilience and European funding, Telewander played a pivotal role today at the conference “La Ribera i Europa en Acció Climàtica: Fons que Transformen Territoris.” The event, held at the Espai Jove Rafelguaraf, brought together top-tier regional authorities and key stakeholders to discuss the future of the Ribera de Xúquer region.

Telewander and the EMMA Project

During the first round table of the morning, titled “Experiences that Inspire,” Telewander took the spotlight to present the EMMA project. This European initiative is a groundbreaking training system designed specifically for small and medium-sized municipalities. Its core mission is to optimize the management of volunteers during climate-related disaster relief operations—a tool that is becoming increasingly vital for the resilience of local territories.

The presentation highlighted the technical expertise Telewander brings to the table, ensuring that local councils have the digital and organizational infrastructure necessary to protect their citizens when faced with environmental emergencies.

Distinguished Leadership and Institutional Support

The event was marked by a heavy-hitting institutional presence, reflecting the importance of the EMMA project within the broader European climate strategy. Key figures in attendance included:

A cornerstone of the project’s success is the participation and coordination of Gema March, whose leadership has been instrumental in aligning the technical capabilities of Telewander with the strategic needs of the European Union’s climate goals for 2030–2050.
