Rafelguaraf and EMMA

On May 8th, in celebration of Europe Day, Rafelguaraf hosted a day dedicated to innovation, European cooperation, and preparedness for climate emergencies.

At the event, EMMA was presented, a program led by the Consortium aimed at training public employees and policymakers in managing volunteers in the face of climate emergencies.

The European project EMMMA (European training system for small and medium-sized municipalities for the management of volunteers in climate disaster relief operations) aims to improve and streamline the response of small and medium-sized European municipalities to disasters by providing:

  • Specialized training for public personnel involved in volunteer management
  • Practical tools for coordinating volunteers
  • Support guidelines for policymakers and local governments

A European initiative that aims for more prepared, coordinated, and resilient municipalities in the face of climate challenges. 🌱🤝
